Another Valentine!

Hi Everyone;

Here's another Valentine's Day card I created last Monday, after inspiration from my niece, my stamping partner Julie and a card posted in a recent Papercrafting Magazine. Hope you enjoy! I love the new Glitter DSP in the 2011 Occasions Mini ... it is the best. Just wish it came in different colors (maybe SU! has that in store for the future)

What a Great Stamping Day!

What a great Monday we had! Julie, my niece - Michele and I spent the entire day stamping. There is never enough time when we do this. Julie and I joke that if we lived closer to one another and did not have to work ... we'd be in trouble because we would stamp ALL the time!

 

 

My beautiful niece, Michele, is a great stamper and created some terrific cards. Thought I'd share them with you and brag about what a wonderful young woman she is! Here's a picture of her and my granddaughter Avery on Christmas Eve.

Here are the cards she created! We have many more to share with you over the next few weeks so stay tuned!

Hi Everyone;

Thanks to all who have taken a few minutes to leave Julie and I comments about blogging and our cards! We are so humbled by your wonderful compliments and thoughts on our work. Julie is headed over to my house on Monday to stamp so hopefully there may be a few more creations to post in the upcoming weeks.

Today, as I looked through a papercrafting magazine for inspiration, I found some ideas that prompted me to create this Valentine's Day card. I must say, I really like it! My first attempt at "scrunching" ribbon across the card (super easy with sticky strip!).

Stamping again .....

Hi Everyone;

It has been months since an original card has been stamped in my stamp room! Julie and I are still deciding whether to continue blogging or not but I thought I'd pass along a few creations I made last night! I have owed a Get Well Card to someone for a LONG time .... unfortunately she still needs it :(

I will be working on a few new cards this week (again owed to a friend of mine .... Cheryl - yes I PROMISE I will be working on them!).

Cards from Our Upline Debbie!

Julie received these two cards from our Upline and fabulous stamping friend, Debbie Vaughn. Aren't they great? Debbie Case'd these cards from some very talented stampers!

This was a Valentine's Day Easel card made with the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set that is still available for order. Order the set through Feb 28, 2010 and $2 from every set will go to the Haitian Relief Fund.

 

I love this birthday card so much, I'm ordering the new stamp set -  Sweetheart. This was not included in the new Occasions Mini at the time of publication, but is available right now and will be continued in the next catalog too! 

The card also highlights the new Extra Large Fancy Flower Punch. A fun and MUST HAVE punch to have!

Full of Life

This is a card that I intended as an anniversary card, but it could easily double as a Valentine!  This was a swap I made for Leadership, so there isn’t an inside.  The technique used is “Background Burst” from one of my favorite websites.

When I was first learning to stamp, Pat’s newsletter (Technique Junkies) gave me so many fun ways to experiment with ink, paper and stamps.  She has a host of wonderfully talented stamping artists who submit new techniques.  If you don’t know about this site, please take a look!

The background burst technique involves the use of a somewhat solid image stamped onto dark cardstock with White Craft Ink, then daubed with Pastels.  To set the pastels, wipe over the images with a piece of “Swiffer®”.  After you have created your background, stamp an open image over the background with White Craft Ink.  This technique will make you look at your stamp sets in a whole new light!
