This card, made by Lisa Young – which can be found here on
her blog – caught my eye immediately! I ran to my stamp area and re-created two
identical versions with the supplies I had on hand (always helps to have ALMOST
everything Stampin’ Up has to offer!).
After I finished the cards, I thought, what other
combinations could I create with the same layout and stamp set? I pulled out my
To The Nines Designer Series Paper and went from there.
I love how it turned
out – kind of a ‘western’ birthday type of feel and definitely masculine (and
those types of cards are hard to make for me!). I emailed Lisa for permission
to post the card with FULL credit for the original design and idea to her and
she kindly allowed me to do so! That’s the beauty of the stamping community –
it is always flattering when you see one of your cards – CASED – but ALWAYS
appreciated (and proper) to give credit to the creator of the card. Thank you
Lisa for the inspiration and great card!
